We’re proud to announce that Zero Gravity Oy has been selected as one of the 20 winning companies in the SPACE4Cities Call for Tenders, out of a record-breaking 141 applications from across 23 European countries.

This recognition places Zero Gravity among Europe’s most forward-thinking SMEs leveraging satellite data for urban innovation. As one of only two Finnish winners, we’re excited to contribute our UrbanAI solution to address pressing city challenges — from climate resilience and infrastructure optimization to sustainable mobility.

Our joint project with Hybrid-Airplane Technologies GmbH focuses on combining high-resolution in-situ data from aerial platforms with Copernicus Earth observation to create a new benchmark in data-driven urban decision-making. This unique approach reflects our mission to build climate-smart cities and sustainable communities through next-gen space technologies.

The SPACE4Cities programme provides a pathway of up to €376,000 in funding, supporting the development of detailed design, prototypes, and field-testing across European cities like Helsinki, Amsterdam, and Athens. This is a major milestone for Zero Gravity and a stepping stone toward scaling our technology across Europe.

A huge thanks to EUSPA, Forum Virium Helsinki, and all partners driving this ambitious initiative forward — and congratulations to the other selected companies!
